AVA KAELIN KENDRICK
Here is a very cool picture that my brother took & sent to my phone today.
My niece, Ava, was born on 11/5/10. She was born early, her due date was 1/2/11.
She is in the NICU, and I thought this was such a cool picture! He titled it
"Ava giving mommy a high five"
very cool indeed...
Always thinking of them, and hoping she continues to grow stronger!
We love you guys!

BE THANKFUL...
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire...
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something...for it gives you
the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times...during those times
you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations...because they give you
opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge...because it will build
your character.
Be thankful for your mistakes...they will teach you
valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you are tired and weary...because it means
you've made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things...a life of rich fulfillment
comes to those are also thankful for the setbacks.
GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive...find a way to be
thankful for your troubles...
and they can become your blessings.

We had a GREAT girls night in last night! It was full of good conversation, good company & yummy food! For party "favors"
I found this cute idea online. First, I found a poem, this one was about Being Thankful (see poem above) and it was
perfect for this time of year! I printed it on cardstock, and bought these picture frames w/ magnets on the back, cut the poem to
fit, decorated w/ a few stickers. Then, I wanted to somehow incorporate a pay it forward theme.
There are several websites that will mail you these cards already pre-cut. Unfortunately, mine didn' t arrive in time. I did print
these cards directly from a website, and cut them out. The idea is to do something anonymous, and kind for a stranger, leave
this card behind, and hope that the stranger pays a kind deed forward to someone else! Great for getting people in the holiday spirit! I also found this game online a few months back, called "Not Your Mother's Dinner Party" table top game. Its a fun game, great conversation starter, and you learn a lot about the people you are with! We shared some great stories and some good laughs! Thanks to all of you who came, looking forward to our next one!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Getting in the holiday spirit....my mom gave me these adorable little pilgrims a few years ago, and
I haven't had them out for the past couple of Thanksgivings. I was so excited when Armand found them in storage, b/c
I had been looking for table decorations! Just in time for the holidays....

Park County Humane Society...For Their Birthdays!

This year, for the girls' birthdays, we decided to do something "good for the world around us". I gave the girls the choice
between donating to the Children's Library, or to the Park County Humane Society. They chose the Humane Society...
So, instead of gifts for their birthday from their friends, we asked for donations to the Humane Society. Before their "big day"
I took them to the Humane Society, and Heidi (the lady who runs it) gave them the "Grand Tour". They were sold on
helping out these homeless animals! We got to deliver the goods the week after their party, and I think it made them feel
great to know they were helping others out! A good life lesson, (at least I hope)....
P.S...they did still get birthday gifts from family, so they weren't without a few birthday presents! : )

Coloring Contest!

The girls entered their first coloring contest at Pizza on The Run last week. They colored
the pictures themselves & were so proud of their work! So tonight, they got mail, and
guess what....they won! (Well, they won honorable mention...but hey, that's great for their first
attempt!) They each get a free one topping pizza! Get ready to have a pizza lunch date Grandpa, this time on
the kids!

More Halloween

The girls were so excited when their cousin, Emma stopped by to trick-or-treat on Halloween night! Even though they were already in their PJs, Riley insisted on putting her costume on too, just to show Emma. It was great to see her, and her witch costume was ADORABLE! Couldn't skip the picture, so I guess Syd will just be in PJ costume!
