Ice Fishing!

Armand took Riley ice fishing this past weekend. Sydney & I stayed behind, but then Sydney wanted to see her sister...so we decided to drive down to the reservoir and take a look for ourselves! It was such a BEAUTIFUL day, and the ice was 6 inches thick (I made Armand measure it just so that I could breathe easier). It was warm, and we managed to catch a fish, but that was all. Even though the fishing was slow, we really enjoyed our day together! Riley now has decided that she wants to ice skate, and called sliding around on the ice "practice"....

Once A Princess, Always A Princess....

Oh, what fun the girls have playing with all the dress up clothes they got for Christmas! There is always one of them wanting to change outfits, change shoes, trade princess crowns or fight with wands...endless hours of entertainment, until one of them gets mad and decides she "doesn't want to play princess anymore!"

Christmas 2009

What a good Christmas we had this year! We got to have fun with our cousin, Aunt, Uncle, both Grandmas & Grandpa! The girls had the best time this year, and needless to say were exhausted by the time the holiday was over. All that work waiting for Santa and trying to stay off the naughty list really wore everyone out!

We were lucky enough to have Grandma Gae with us on Christmas morning this year. As the girls say "Grandma had a sleep over at our house!" Needless to say, Gae & I stayed up drinking coffee and didn't get to bed until 12:45 am! We had a great time opening presents & got a chuckle when Grandma Gae opened her present from Aunt Andrea! Aunt Andrea got her a new record player...but Grandma had bought herself one a week earlier, not knowing what her Christmas present was! Anyway, it was a nice morning together, and then we headed over to Grandma & Grandpa Kendrick's house for Christmas dinner...

Start with decorating then tree...then spread out the Reindeer food (which consisted of oats and glitter), then some family pictures. Why won't the girls open their eyes, look at the camera AND smile at the same time? It never works!!
