Mountain Lion!

One of our friends in Meeteetsee, Fred Thomas took these amazing pictures on a recent mountain lion hunt.
He is a great photographer, and has many pictures that amaze me, these being a few of them.
The dog in this picture is one of our dog, Logan's puppies.
Brilliant & scary photos Fred!

Gingerbread House

Riley's last day of preschool for this semester was Dec 18th. They made gingerbread houses, and
boy was she excited! They had a really great way of doing it too. First you get a small milk carton.
Then you get 6 square parts of a graham cracker (for the sides and roof) and 2 triangle parts
of graham cracker (for the ends). Get some icing, and stick the graham cracker to the milk
carton. Decorate with anything you want, any way you want. Ours was fun, messy, but definitely fun.
Great way to end the semester, now Christmas Break!

Off to find a Christmas Tree!

After doing Christmas photos and eating some lunch, we headed out to find a Christmas tree.
Here is Riley, helping dad drive our old "beater" truck down dirt roads, looking
for one that is "perfect mom"....

This little girl was determined to help find the right tree!

Eskimo kisses are the best when its cold outside!

"Boy I am exhausted after all this tree hunting"

At last, one that we all can agree on!

Christmas Cards Are Coming...

My brother was brave enough to volunteer to take our family photo this year. So he shot several
pictures of us...but its so difficult to get both girls to look at the camera, let alone smile.
Anyway, this isn't the actual picture we used for the card, but one that we are all
looking at the camera with our eyes open....

Sydney Meets Santa

After Breakfast With Santa, Riley insisted that she wanted to go to
Buffalo Bill Historical Center & see Santa again. We waited in line for over 30 minutes...
once it was our turn, Riley just lost it. She wanted NO part of Santa or
anything associated with him. However, I was able to get a picture of Sydney with
Santa, she seemed to do ok, as long as she was allowed to hold the stuffed wolf you
see on his lap!

Breakfast With Santa

The Cody Holiday Inn has a "Breakfast With Santa" which our friends, Sarah & Zachary
invited us to. The kids get to see santa, eat breakfast and then decorate a GIANT sugar
cookie...all before 11:00 am! We had fun, although the kids weren't digging Santa too much.

I can't help but wonder when Santa becomes less scary....?

Fun with the Camera!

Grandma Gae gave us this Moose cookie making kit...and it was hard! The dough didn't want
to come out of the cookie cutter, so most of the moose legs were
ruined. Not to mention the fact that Riley was insistent on using her
play-dough rolling pin to flatten the dough! But we had fun making a mess.

Mom & Riley...check out the fab lipgloss that Riley insisted I wear for dress up!

Ok, so in this picture we had been playing babysitter/going to work for
HOURS..I was the babysitter and Riley had to go to a "meeting" at the
hospital. So this was her meeting attire. PJs, purse, snowboots and don't
forget the ever important leopard print sunglasses...her future is so bright,
she's gotta wear shades. And some stylin' shades at that!

A Snow Day

So stuck inside while it was cold & snowy outside...we decided to take some pictures. Sydney
can finally sit in the rocking chair on her own without difficulty! And of course, she
refused to have her picture taken without Teddy.

Stop and smell the roses!

Riley got a computer for her birthday & was actually
quite good at getting the whole thing assembled so
she could play some computer games!

Memory... A Game

Riley was just dead set on playing this game today...playing Memory with a 3 year old
is quite difficult. Then you add a one year old into the mix and the game becomes
downright disastrous because half the pieces are missing....but we made the best of it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a nice quiet Thanksgiving at home. Grandma & Grandpa Simone came up to our house
and had dinner. Riley was so excited to wear her pilgrim hat that she made in
preschool. We had so much food, we were stuffed!!
