Summer Fun...continues...

Well, Riley was hard at it again, this time with Grandpa. She did so well, aside from crashing into Armand's truck a few times. She got Grandpa to help her tonight...can't tell you how many times they practiced riding the bike w/o training wheels. She was getting really good at it by the time they finished. Won't be long and she'll be cruising without any help! Sydney was so excited to have someone to push her on the swing non-stop! Thanks for coming over for dinner Grandma Gae, Grandma Kathy & Grandpa John! The girls had a blast, and they were so worn out, they went right to bed!!

 

 

 

 

No Training Wheels!

Armand took Riley's training wheels off of her bike today & they practiced. She did pretty good, but still hasn't mastered the skill. Give her a few days & she will have it down!

 

 

Jackson Hole trip 2010

A great visit to Jackson this month. My girls still don't understand how I could grow up in Jackson, but live in Cody, but they loved Jackson! I was so glad to have Allison with me & the girls were glad to have Abigail! We stayed in a condo in the Aspens, which was totally NOT child proof, but we made the best of it! If you have never been on the tram ride in Teton Village, you should! I haven't been up to the top in YEARS...but it is a truly breathtaking site! Thanks for joining us Allison & Abigail, we love you both!

 

 

 

 

Tram Ride!

I thought the girls would be scared to go on the Teton Village tram ride up Rendezvous mountain! Little did I know, they would LOVE it! They loved looking down at all the things below. They wanted to do it again...

 

 

 

 

Calico has a great lawn for playing!

While we ate dinner at Calico, the kids played hard in the huge lawn area they have there! We were so glad to finally meet Tori's little girl, Blayke! She is adorable! Kids had a blast playing together!

Teton Village Splash Park

If you ever get to Teton Village, there is a great splash park area for kids! The girls loved this place, as you can see. There is a little playground nearby as well, and we spent two mornings here playing! Great area for free entertainment for little ones! And tons of tables, chairs and open area for adults to sit and visit!

 

 

 

 

Road Trip!

My friend Allison & her daughter Abigail joined the girls & me for a road trip to Jackson for 4 days and 3 nights. It was a long, slow drive through Yellowstone Park, but we made it! The girls enjoyed a picnic by Yellowstone Lake w/ great views! They were good overall in the car, and it was so nice to have a friend along to talk to! Thanks for joining us Allison!!

 

 

 

 

River Rafting

We went and floated the Shoshone River with Armand's friend Arnold and his family. It was a great day for doing it, not to sunny & slightly overcast. I was a tad on the nervous side b/c as long as I've lived in Cody, I've never gone rafting on the river. Turns out it was pretty fun....and Riley loved it! Kids had a hot chocolate after the trip. Good times!

 

Fireworks

Fireworks watching this year was interesting. We had a front row seat, and it was WINDY that evening. Some of the sparks falling out of the sky started a fire, and the girls got to see the firetrucks and police hard at work! At least they got it out, and no one was hurt!
